TACOMA UNIT 1 SHAVINGS $$$ INCREASE!!!
The price for bagged shavings at the Unit have increased to
$9/bag.  They have had to change distributors and the cost

the two CPtHA shows and three PtHAWW shows.  If you would

shows page.  In addition a Breeding Stock Jackpot has been
added to this season which will have a cash award for the top

About Us
Cascade Pinto (CPtHA) is a Washington charter of the Pinto
Horse Association.  Established in 1990, our charter
boundaries are from I-90 north to the Canadian border and
from the Hood Canal to the Cascades.
We are family oriented and are always excited to have new
faces join our club.  Our members are a variety of Youth,
Amateur, Novice-Amateur and Open exhibitors, all working to
promote the Pinto breed.

Pinto versus Paint...What's the difference?

Characteristic

PINTO
Registry/Breed
Strict bloodline requirements.
To be eligible for registration a
paint's sire & dam must be
registered with APHA, AQHA, or
the Jockey Club
(Thoroughbreds).   At least one
parent must be registered APHA
Can derive from a very large
spectrum of breed and registry
crosses.  However, PtHA does NOT
accept animals with Appaloosa,
Draft or Mule breeding and/or
characteristics.
Color
Three specific coat patterns:
Overo, tobiano, and tovero
Solid horses from APHA
registered parent(s) are called
breeding stock
Two specific coat patterns:
Overo and tobiano.
Breeding stock horses do not meet
our color requirements that have
either color within two generations
OR at least two Pinto characteristics.
Type
Distinctive stock horse body type
and conformation
Stock (Quarter and Paint breeding),
Hunter (Thoroughbred), Pleasure
(Arabian and Morgan) and Saddle
(Saddlebred or gaited breeds). PtHA
also separates animals into 4
different size divisions
including Horse, Pony, Miniature and
Miniature B
